Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Dance Evolution!

We're thrilled to have you as part of our dance family. Below are some details about our terms and conditions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions:

By enrolling in classes with Dance Evolution, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all students and families enrolled with the studio.

1. Term Levy Fee:

To kick off each new school term, there's a non-refundable term levy fee of $20.00 per family. It helps keep the dance magic alive! This fee is not a credit or payment against any term fees.

2. Enrolment Form:

Please make sure to fill out a new enrolment form for each student every year or before the start of any new classes. We want to make sure we have the latest info and keep things up to date!

To satisfy insurance requirements, duty of care obligations, and Australian child safety standards applicable to dance organisations, enrolment forms for students under 18 must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Forms completed by relatives (including aunts or uncles), family friends, or any person who is not the child’s legal guardian will be declined.

3. Auto-Enrolment:

For your convenience, active Dance Evolution Term 1 enrolments will automatically roll into each new term within the calendar year. Don't worry; we'll send you an invoice accordingly. If you decide not to continue into a new term, just let us know by the end of the previous term to avoid further charges.

4. Class Changes:

Once enrolled, students are expected to complete the term in their chosen classes. If you want to switch things up, no worries! Class changes can be made at the beginning of each new term, provided there are available spots.

5. Term Fees:

Term fees are calculated per term and will be invoiced before each term begins. You can pay via our direct debit system, making it easy to choose weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or per term payments.

6. Mid-Term Withdrawal / Cancellation:

If a student chooses to withdraw from classes after the commencement of a term, written notice must be provided via email.

Term fees are calculated on a full-term basis. Accordingly, fees for the remainder of the term remain payable regardless of attendance.

Where fees are paid via direct debit, instalments will continue to be processed until the end of the term. Cancellation of a direct debit arrangement does not cancel or reduce the obligation to pay any outstanding fees for the term, and any unpaid amounts will remain due and payable.

Where a student has paid in advance, any unused portion of fees may, at the studio’s discretion, be issued as a credit for use in a future term. Credits are non-refundable and must be used within six months from the date of issue.

7. Late Payments and Debt Recovery:

If any payment remains outstanding after the due date, the studio reserves the right to suspend the student’s participation in classes until the account is brought up to date.

The studio may take reasonable steps to recover any unpaid fees, including engaging a third-party debt collection agency. Any reasonable costs incurred in recovering outstanding amounts may be added to the balance owed, to the extent permitted by law.

This clause does not exclude or limit any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

8. Payment Methods:

We accept payments via direct debit from your preferred bank account or major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express). Your convenience is our priority!

9. Important Reminders:

Term fees do not cover uniform items, performance costumes, media fees, workshops, exam fees, or competition-related costs. No makeup lessons, credits, discounts or refunds can be provided for missed classes. This policy also applies to missed classes due to family holidays, extracurricular activities, sickness, or other commitments. Discounts, credits or refunds cannot be applied to your membership for these missed sessions. We strive to keep our membership prices low to ensure that quality education remains accessible to all families, which is why we cannot offer discounts for missed classes. Our studio observes public holidays, school holidays and heat policy days without pro-rata fees or discounts.

10. Studio Closures:

If our studio temporarily closes due to government restrictions, we'll move classes online. No discounts or refunds will be offered for online classes.

11. Compulsory Mid-Year and End of Year Concert Participation:

To join our Concert performances, ensure all fees, including term fees, examination fees, costume fees, and showcase fees, are up to date.

12. Compulsory Dance Evolution Branded Uniform:

Get your Dance Evolution branded uniform directly from our online store at www.danceevolution.au and show off your dance spirit in style!
