Dance Evolution has a proud history of nurturing talent, building confidence, and creating a vibrant community through dance.

Originally established in 2011 as JDC Studios, we began with a simple vision: to create a welcoming and inspiring space where dancers of all ages and abilities could thrive. Over the years, our studio became known for its high-quality training, passionate instructors, and strong sense of family. From local performances to national competitions, our dancers have showcased not only their skills but also their dedication and heart.
 

Now known as Dance Evolution, the studio has established itself as one of Melbourne’s premier training grounds for dance, aerial arts, musical theatre, and other performing arts disciplines. We continue to uphold our legacy of excellence, offering world-class training in both the technical and artistic aspects of performance.
 

A Legacy of Success

Our students have graced the stages of high-profile tribute shows such as the Katy Perry Tribute Show, Gaga Magic, and The Ultimate Kylie Show, performing in front of large audiences across Australia. Many have appeared in national and international TV commercials for major brands including Dodo, Toyota, RACV, Target, and K-Mart — a testament to their versatility and professionalism. Additionally, our alumni have gone on to secure roles on popular Australian television series such as House Husbands, Winners and Losers, and Neighbours.
 

Prestigious Events and Productions

Beyond the screen, our students have starred in major musical theatre productions including Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, and various Disney shows. They have also featured at iconic events like Kidz Fashion Week in both Sydney and Melbourne, and are currently performing at Warner Bros. World in Abu Dhabi. Our students have also shone on prominent stages including The Voice Australia, X Factor, Australia’s Got Talent, and even America’s Got Talent. These achievements highlight Dance Evolution’s strong ties to the professional music and entertainment industries.
 

In 2024, after more than a decade of growth, transformation and unforgettable moments, we embraced a new chapter — rebranding as Dance Evolution. This name reflects our journey and our commitment to growing alongside the needs and dreams of our dance family. While our name has changed, our mission remains the same: to empower dancers with strong foundations, creative expression, and a lifelong love of dance.
 

Now located in our modern home in Derrimut, we continue to offer dynamic classes across a wide range of styles, led by experienced and passionate teachers. Dance Evolution is more than a studio — it’s a place where creativity, discipline, and community come together.
